One of the nicest survey visits I’ve had in a long time.
One of the real pleasures of this job is meeting interesting people, and today was no exception. I visited Liz Colbridge to look at a small area of damp in her lovely1930s semi. It took about 5 minutes to realise that Liz had already done her homework. A former nurse, she has the most inquisitive mind and a really solid grasp of what was happening in her home. In fact, she kept finishing my sentences. At one point I laughed and said, “Why am I here? You already know the answers. I could have you working as my apprentice.” Thankfully, she took it in the spirit intended and we both had a good laugh. The damp itself was minor, but what I’ll remember most is simply meeting Liz. Before I left we took a quick selfie, which she’s kindly let me share here. So Thank you, Liz. It was an absolute pleasure meeting you.
